Light therapy PDT

About the light therapy

Light supports the body, serves well-being and supports our largest organ, the skin.

  • What are the advantages of light therapy?

The benefits and effects of light therapy include skin rejuvenation through the stimulating effect on collagen and elastin. In addition, acne can be reduced and calmed by reducing bacteria and sebum production. The treatment can also be used to soothe the skin, improve the general condition of the skin and relax.

  • How does light therapy work?

Light therapy can be used for different skin conditions to improve the complexion. Different wavelengths are used in the form of colored light. Blue light is used to reduce acne and sebum production as well as improve oily skin. Green light is used to calm sensitive skin. Yellow light is used for freckles, redness and pigment spots, as well as for tightening and red light for pore refinement, as well as for brightening and stimulating the skin.

  • How many sessions are needed?

The number of recommended sessions depends on the initial condition of the skin and the desired result. However, we recommend a treatment course of 6 - 8 treatments at intervals of 2 weeks and then once a month for maintenance.

  • How does the treatment work?

Before the first treatment, there is a non-binding consultation in which your skin is analyzed and the treatment goal as well as any existing contraindications are discussed. Light therapy can be used as a complement to other treatments. The face is first cleaned and cared for before the light therapy is used. The effect of the light on the skin lasts 20 - 30 minutes and for optimal processing only one light color should be used per treatment. This is followed by final care with SPF and, if necessary, advice on further treatment and care at home.
